As the 2000 racing season hits the homestretch, Ford Racing is looking to cap off a dominant year in its worldwide racing program. As NASCAR Winston Cup, NASCAR Craftsman Truck, CART, World Rally Championship and British Touring Car Series enter the Labor Day weekend, Ford is in position to sweep the driver's championship and manufacturer's titles in all three North American series while John Force is heading towards his 10th championship in the NHRA Funny Car ranks. Following are some statistics that detail the Ford brand dominance on a global scale.
<pre> NASCAR WINSTON CUP * Ford has a series-high 11 wins in 23 races this season compared to 6 each for Chevrolet and Pontiac. * Ford has a commanding 29-point lead in the manufacturer's standings over second-place Pontiac and third-place Chevrolet (163-134-130). * Dale Jarrett is second in points to Bobby Labonte (by 91 points). * Ford has three drivers in the top five (Jarrett, 2nd; Burton, 4th; and Wallace, 5th) and five Ford drivers in the top 10. * Matt Kenseth is leading Dale Earnhardt Jr. in the rookie of the year standings.

NHRA * John Force has dominated the Funny Car division for more than a decade and he's poised for his 10th career championship this year as he currently leads the Funny Car point standings. * Force broke Bob Glidden's record for most final-round wins when he won the 86th event of his career earlier this season. * Of his 89 wins, 41 have come in a Ford while three of his nine career championships have been with Ford.
WORLD RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP * Ford and its Focus brand leads the manufacturer's standings by three points over Subaru with five rounds remaining in the World Rally Championship.
BRITISH TOURING CAR SERIES * Ford clinched the manufacturer's championship behind driver Alain Menu with six rounds remaining in the season series. Ford has 496 points compared to Vauxhall's 358 and Honda's 347.
