September 20, 2002: Following the successful defence of its British Touring Car Championship Manufacturers' and Team's titles in 2002, Vauxhall Motors can confirm today that the Luton marque will compete in the 2003 championship.

Vauxhall Motorsport will enter two Astra Coupés, which will be run by its existing race partner, Triple Eight Race Engineering.

Confirmation of the 2003 campaign takes the number of consecutive years that Vauxhall has supported the British series to fifteen, having first entered in 1989.

Mike Nicholson, Vauxhall Motorsport Operations Manager commented: "We are delighted to announce our continued commitment to the BTCC. This has been yet another successful but hard fought season for Vauxhall and having taken back-to-back Champion Manufacturers' and Teams' titles, we are looking forward to achieving the hat trick in our centenary year."

Further details of Vauxhall's campaign will be announced at a later date.
