David Leslie: " We were running well in both free practices this morning and the car felt great. We didn't change anything before qualifying but the track has slowed all the front runners. However, the grid is very close and I feel confident I have a good race setup."

Phil Bennett: "The car was fantastic in both free practices and I was running in the top six. Then I had an alternator problem just before qualifying which left me with just five minutes to post a good time. As the chequered flag came out for the end of the session I squeezed out a good lap but I know there's more in the car now. I'm up for a good race tomorrow."

Mike Carroll (race director): "Both drivers did well in the practice sessions. It was tough for Phil with the alternator problem as no doubt he'd have gone quicker still with more laps in qualifying. The good news is we're just 0.6 seconds behind the Vauxhall trio and running at the same weight - our most competitive performance to date. With the top four grid positions covered by a tenth of a second and the top sixteen within a second, the first corner is going to be crucial."

David Wong (team principal): " We have two fast-starting drivers so I'm looking forward to the beginning of the first race tomorrow. The team's working well and competing strongly on a very close grid."
