Satisfying performance from Knockhill debutants of Team PSP

Team PSP'S first foray to Scotland for two years, and the first ever for both drivers, delivered solid effective performances from them both. Watson Smith scored points in all three rounds - a first for his inaugural season in BTCC - and rookie Fariqe Hairuman continued his impressive debut in touring cars with his best qualifying performance to date and even quicker race pace.

Fariqe Hairuman: "I was delighted to get the car dialled in so I could find more pace in race trim. My learning is continuing at every circuit - and Knockhill has been one of the most testing and the most satisfying."

Shaun Watson Smith: "I'm happy to have recorded three strong points-scoring finishes at this awesome circuit. I suffered from some gear selection problems but was very happy with the pace in round 21 after some set-up tweaks which augurs well for the next round at Brands Hatch."

Mike Carroll, Chief Engineer: "Credit to Fariqe - his best qualifying performance of the season. Points in all three races, both cars in good shape as well - I'd say that was a very positive result for us. However, some other teams have made big progress in recent weeks and in light of our limited development our competitiveness has been dampened."

David Wong, Team Principal: "I'm pleased with the team's performance today - we came to a track we had little or no experience of and have come away with good and solid results. I'll add my compliments to Fariqe who is learning the ropes in a highly competitive and tough race series and improving all the time. I'm looking forward to Brands Hatch in a couple of weeks!"
