The BTCC has now reached it's mid-season point, with 14 races gone and 12 remaining. At the midway point, Ford has scored one win and one podium finish and amassed a total of 67 Championship points. All teams now have a four week break, before the Championship re-starts at Snetterton Circuit, Norfolk, England on July 26. WHAT IS TAKING PLACE THIS WEEK? "We have taken the opportunity for a well-earned break. Many of the guys in the team have taken a couple of days off before we get back to work preparing for Snetterton. The workshop is a little quieter than normal." Dick Bennetts, team principal, Ford Mondeo Racing LOOKING BACK OVER THE FIRST HALF OF THE SEASON, HOW HAS THE MONDEO CHANGED? WHAT DEVELOPMENTS HAVE YOU BEEN ABLE TO MAKE? "The Mondeo has changed significantly in the first half of the season. Together with Ford, we have made many improvements and developments, both to the engine and chassis. Both drivers have noticed a real improvement in the handling of the car which has, in turn, boosted their own confidence in driving on the limit. All this has attributed to our improved qualifying and race performances, particularly in recent weeks." Dick Bennetts, team principal, Ford Mondeo Racing "The Mondeo is a much improved car than when I first drove it at the start of the season. The team is really getting to work on identifying and making the changes we need and it's different almost every time I drive it." Craig Baird, driver, Ford Mondeo Racing
