Yvan Muller put the pressure right back on Vauxhall team-mate and title rival James Thompson by winning the second of today's two Green Flag MSA British Touring Car rounds at Donington Park.

Muller's win means he will go to Oulton Park, Cheshire, in a fortnight with a 29-point lead over Thompson with only a maximum of 35 now available.

Thompson finished the race third after MG's Colin Turkington got past him for good two laps from home after the pair had traded places several times.

GA's Carl Breeze took his second Hilton Independents Trophy win of the day, while Production class victory went to Team Varta's Tom Boardman. Behind him, Barwell's Luke Hines finished second in class to provisionally take the Production title.
