Team PSP is just hours away from its first BTCC start -- and both drivers are ready for the off. David Leslie said: "My car feels good and I'm very happy with the speed we're finding so early in the life of this team and this car. Easter Monday is a real milestone for Team PSP -- Phil Bennett and I will be going all out to reward the team with a good result from our first Manic Monday!"
In free practice on Saturday, Leslie posted sixth fastest time in the first session. In the second session, disrupted by red flags, both cars experienced a misfire that limited their track time. The cars were then prepared for the qualifying session on Sunday.
David Leslie said: "We're already beginning to snap at the heels of the Vauxhall hordes -- I felt fourth was there for the taking with just a 0.2 second gap in the first session. We've changed a gear ratio for qualifying."
Phil Bennett said: "The car's really steering well now after some work we did at our last test at Donington. It's great to work with the Team PSP and PETRONAS engineers and keep making good progress."
