BTCC 'arrives' to North America

Races highlights are going to be broadcast with a delay.

The British Touring Car Championship will be broadcast in the United States and Canada from this season, the series has announced.

A "multi-year contract" has been agreed between the BTCC and the CBS Sports Network, which will broadcast a one-hour highlights programme on Wednesdays – ten days after each BTCC race.

The highlights programme is part of its 'Torque.TV' Block on Wednesday evenings.

"This is the biggest coverage the BTCC has ever had in the important and vast North American market, and we are delighted to announce this long-term broadcast arrangement with Torque.TV that includes the coverage on CBS Sports Network," said series boss Alan Gow.
