West Surrey Racing selects their Next Generation Touring Car; it is a BMW Series-1.They feel it is "more suitable to the current BTCC regulations."

Former series champion Colin Turkington will return to the British Touring Car Championship this year with West Surrey Racing. The 2009 series champion will be behind the wheel of a BMW.

Winter has not been kind this year for the usual pre-season testing for many series. The snow finally left the United Kingdom which allowed the British Touring Car Championship drivers and teams to take to the track.

In the second race of the BTCC at Croft on the North Yorkshire circuit, Colin Turkington took the victory again!
Matt Neal can thank the rain that finally did arrive to soak the Croft circuit in the final BTCC race this weekend. His Honda performed to his liking despite the tricky conditions.

Most of the British Touring Car teams took part in testing at Snetterton before their summer break. Missing at the two-day test was the points leading Honda Yuasa Racing team.

Sam Tordoff had a clean start from his maiden pole position to take command of race one at Snetterton to notch his first-ever British Touring Car Championship victory.
In the action-packed BTCC second race of the day, it was Pirtek Racing's Andrew Jordan who scored the victory at the Norfolk circuit.
Honda Yuasa Racing's champion driver took the final race victory at Snetterton. Once in command of the lead, Gordon Shedden kept Mat Jackson behind as he sailed to the win by a margin of 3.090 of a second.
