Enge invites fans to Brno after Zolder

Tomas Enge has got further important experience and data for the development of the new Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT2 at Zolder. He raced together with Stefan Mucke in the ninth round of the FIA GT. They were victims of the first round clash and after a delay managed to finish 8th in the GT2 class and 16th overall. The British car was again entered without international homologation under G2 rules.

The race was used as a test in real racing environment. Tomas was already yesterday happy with improvements that had been done by Aston martin Racing engineers before the race. Stefan set fourth in the GT2 class. Tomas was a victim of a collision of two rivals as one of them hit him.

Tomas Enge: "Just after the first corner I was caught out by a collision of two rivals. Two Ferraris were spinning and it was impossible to avoid one of them. We were last even though we had a good position on the grid. I had to pit with damaged front a puncture. We were able to continue after a quick repair but the car was not afterwards 100 percent. Especially aero and downforce. Together with Stefan we tried to compensate with our driving but it was not enough. Anyway, we are leaving Belgium quite happy. We were much quicker than during our debut at Nogaro and we again finished the race without technical problems. We fulfilled our primary targets. Now I am ready for the final of the Czech championship at Brno where will be six hours Epilog race. Together with Charouz Racing System teammates will be fighting for titles. I want to invite all fans to Brno and hopefully there will be a nice fall's weather."
