Gillet Vertigo ready to fight

Gembloux - After the 24hours of Spa it is time for another Belgian Circuit to welcome the FIA GT championship. It is the second consecutive time that Zolder is part of the prestigious FIA GT calendar.

For Belgian Racng it is the second time that they will participate a race in Zolder this season. The Gillet Vertigo .5 participated at the first race of the "Belgian GT". It was the first proper test for the Gillet Vertigo with the new Maserati engine and with success, the Belgian crew finished twice on the podium.

Tony Gillet: "I am very curious to see how the car will perform against the GT2 cars. Since the 24hours of Spa we have made some progress. The working of the suspension has been improved as well as the use of the Maserati V8 engine, this gives me a lot of confidence and I hope that we will be able to fight with some of the GT2 cars just as we did in Brno."

Are you hoping for rain?

Bas Leinders :" Racing in Zolder is always a pleasure for me, I was born and raised in Bree (only 30km north of Zolder). You could say that Renaud and I love to race on a wet circuit and I really want to give my home crowd and all the people who have put a lot of time and effort in our project, an excellent result.

Start of the race at 13h15 on Sunday 19 October.
