The FIA GT series and International Sports Racing Series are due to have a double header race at Kyalami on December 3rd.
FIA date change to GT2
The FIA GT race at Hockenheim has changed from September 5th to June 28th. It is unclear what has happened to the Nurburgring race due to be held on that day.
Oreca welcomes Ferrari to GT2
Oreca boss, Hughes de Chaunac, has said that he looks forward to Ferrari entering the F50 into the FIA GT2 series. He has said that "they will raise it's [the series] status to a higher level". He went on to say that "if we can beat the Ferraris it will be very good for Chrysler".
ALMS to get boost from FIA delays
The American Le Mans Series looks set to have a bumper entry, in part due to the FIA delaying decisions about whether the FIA series is to go ahead or not. The International Prototype Cup looks very precarious with only six entries so far - Ratel needs 20 by mid- February to get the series approved by the FIA.
Wallace tipped for Audi
Andy Wallace - winner of the Daytona 24 hours - is tipped to join James Weaver for the Le Mans 24 hrs with Audi. Audi race-chief Wolfgang Ullrich has said no decision has been made about Audi competing in the Sebring 12 hours as preparation for Le Mans in June.
Lagorce for Mercedes
Franck Lagorce has been signed to drive for Mercedes at the Le Mans 24 hrs. Only one seat is left with the Mercedes squad now.
Gavin tests Porsche
Oliver Gavin has been testing Parabolica's Porsche cars for the supercup at Silverstone this week.
R&S wins at Daytona
Rob Dyson has won the Daytona 24 hours in his Riley & Scott Ford with Andy Wallace, Elliot Forbes-Robinson and Butch Leitzinger as team mates. They grasped the lead in the 18th hour of the race, and kept Ferrari at bay for the rest of the race. Ferrari never got closer than 2 laps to the winner.
Racing for Holland
Jan Lammers, Peter Kox and Tom Coronel are to compete in the Le Mans 24 Hours under Racing for Holland. They are to use a Lola- Lotus with Konrad Motorsport running the entry.
