PODIUM FINISH FOR NISSAN GT-R AT SPA 24 HOURS

At four o'clock this afternoon, Darren Turner was behind the wheel of the Nissan GT-R when it crossed the line in third place in its first ever 24-hour race. The team came to Spa with the primary goal of finishing one of the world's toughest races, so to go away with a podium finish is an incredible result.

"It's a fantastic achievement to get the car to the end of this race and finish on the podium," said Darren. "I loved the race as it was typical Spa: fog, heavy rain and sunshine! The changeable weather is what makes this place really special as it's as much fun in the wet as it is in the dry."

"I think what did it for us today is that we didn't make any mistakes," he continued. "The drivers all kept it on the road and the guys on the team did everything just right. Okay we had a few little dramas but nobody goes 24 hours without a few of those. We had the problem with the drive train but the crew got on top of that and got us back in the race so all credit to them"

"We came here to put miles on the car and show everyone how competitive the Nissan GT-R is. I think we achieved that this weekend. Maybe next time we can come back and get on the top step of the podium."
