OSCHERSLEBEN: RUBERTI-PASINI GOT SOME POINTS, CRESSONI-RUGOLO RETIRED

08/07/07 -- Racing Team Edil Cris closes the German racing weekend at Oschersleben with three points, obtained by the crew Ruberti-Pasini after a recovery race started from the ninth position and concluded with the fifth position under the chequered flag.

Retirement for Cressoni-Rugolo instead, penalized by a tyre pressure loss during initial stages of the race that forced the number 53 F430 Ferrari to a unscheduled pit stop. Afterwards, during the second stint, a failure to one of the axle shafts forced Michele Rugolo to the final retirement.

Paolo Ruberti
"We did not manage to express our full potential in yesterday's qualifying and this forced us to set off from a fairly backward position. This made everything damn complicated for the race in which, thanks to a good recovery, we ended up with three precious points for the championship."

Matteo Cressoni
"We certainly did not experience one of our best days. The race begin in the wrong way and it ended with a retirement that was not due: racing cars are different from production cars and this is part of the game. The season is long and we will surely have our chances of revenge."

Next round of the FIA GT Championship will be held on the legendary track of Spa Francorchamps for the 24h, scheduled for 28-29 July.
