Gabriele Lancieri returns to Monza after competing in one round of the Euro 3000 Series (5°place with the Uboldi team) on the very same track. This time around, Lancieri is going to be on board the English car; the Lister Storm to compete in the last round of the FIA GT Championship. Gabriele will be sharing the car during the three hour race with Andrea Piccini and David Sterckx.
"This is the fourth race I've participated in this year. My first was in Monza in the Euro 3000 Series, then the 24 hour Spa race that was added in the FIA Championship and lastly, the race in Hockenheim in the Porsche Michelin Supercup.
"It was my experience at the 24 hours of Spa that gave me the incentive to race with the Lister team again. The team is very professional and has a first class car that performs greatly. I don't have much experience in FIA GT, but this race will give me the perfect opportunity to enhance my knowledge of the cars and the category. I believe that my motor sport career should continue with the touring cars.
"My objectives for Monza are clear: I am going to put myself to the test, prove my worth in this category and also lend a helping hand to Andrea Piccini and the Lister team to get a good position in the final classification."
