HOMESTEAD, Fla. (Sept. 14, 1999) – Motorsports enthusiasts are encouraged to bring their entire families for the Sept. 24-26 Sports Car Extravaganza at Homestead-Miami Speedway, which features family friendly pricing for an action-packed weekend of racing.
Prices start at $5 for spectators to view action on the entire 2.21-mile circuit from the Speedway’s elevated grandstands, with kids 12 and under admitted free. The weekend features four races, headlined by the FIA GT Championship, where America’s top GT racers challenge the world’s top sports car teams and drivers. Also competing are the Barber Dodge Pro Series, SCCA Spec Racer and Porsche Owners Club.
Action begins at 8:15 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 24, with a full day of practice for all four race groups. Spectators are admitted to the grandstands for $5, with children under 12 and under free.
Saturday program includes a full day of practice and qualifying, starting at 8:30 a.m. The price for an unreserved grandstand ticket is $10.
Sunday’s first race takes the green flag at 9 a.m., with the FIA GT Championship, a 500-kilometer race, set to start at 1 p.m. Grandstand seats to view the four races are $15.
Weekend Club Seats for the Sports Car Extravaganza are on sale for $60. Weekend tickets, including Paddock, Garage and unreserved grandstands, are on sale for $40. Children 12 and under are admitted to the garage and paddock for free when accompanied by a paying adult.
