After his success in the FIA GT championship, Matteo Bobbi accepted Renault Sport's invitation to participate in the first of the two day test session of the Formula Renault V6 Eurocup with pleasure. This first test session took place on the Misano Adriatico race track today. Renault Sport asked the world champion to test some of the car's new features which will be added to the Tatuus which will make its debut next season. This isn't Matteo's first experience on this type of single seater. In fact, at the beginning of this season, the driver from Milan was given the duty to" break the car "in.
I would like to thank Renault Sport for the trust they constantly have in me. Once again, I have the responsibility to test some of the new components of the car that will make their debut in the next championship. In particular, we have tested new carbon made brakes, new shock absorbers and new wings in Misano. In all these cases, the results were positive. The track was very humid this morning with the persistent fog and I couldn't do my best. But as the fog faded away, the conditions of the track improved. Although I set the best time of the day, I wasn't trying to get my best performance out of all of this. Instead, I wanted to concentrate on the car so I can give the Tatuus technicians precise information.
