Belgian Racing concentrating on the 24hours of Spa

The Gillet Vertigo will not be present at the next two races of the FIA GT Championship (Monza & Oshersleben).

After a very successful race in Bucharest, where the car ran as far up as sixth position and finally finishing 11th, Belgian Racing made an appearance at the Belcar race in Spa-Francorchamps a fortnight ago. The Gillet Vertigo was balanced within the "GT3 SRO" regulations by Christophe Bouchut, the official GT3 tester. The car showed true potential by running in the top 3 until Renaud Kuppens had to give up due to a collision with a Porsche in the pitlane entrance.

Tony GILLET: "We are really pleased to be part of the GT3 family. It will give us the possibility to show our progress we have made in several national GT championships. The main goal of Belgian Racing however is to continue to race in the FIA GT Championship against the GT2 cars."

This extra running in the Belcar and the difficulty to obtain enough carbon fibre due to a global shortage has delayed the building of the new Gillet Vertigo. The "new look" Vertigo will be presented at the 24Hours race of Spa- Francorchamps.

As our drivers seem to be extremely at ease in the rain we would fancy a "wet look" as well as the "new look" for the longest race of the season...
