POUCHELON RACING ANNOUNCES FULL SPA 24h LINEUP
Following our launch of the GT3 'Superteam' of Anthony Reid, Ian Khan, Paul Van Splunteren and Maxime Dumarey, Pouchelon Racing is pleased to announce our second team for the Spa 24h race over the 29th/30th July.
Gilles Duqueine, now one of the best known and most widely admired drivers in the new FIA GT3 European Championship is 'anchoring' the second Pouchelon Viper. The performances in FIA GT3 by the paraplegic French driver have stunned other competitiors and European spectators alike. After his race leading drive at Oschersleben, the leading Italian motorsport magazine 'Autosprint' described his performance as "fortissimo".
Gael Lessoudier is a regular contender in the GT1 class of the French National GT Championship. This year he has campaigned a Lister Storm, with promising performances frustrated by unreliability. He won the most recent race in the FFSA Championship at Val de Viennes in a Viper GTS-R run by French team Mirabeau which is providing extra resources to support Pouchelon in the Spa 24h.
Benoit Rousseleau is a well-known French racer and rally driver currently competing in the Asia-Pacific region in line with his business commitments.
Stephane Lacroix-Wasover has already competed with Pouchelon Racing this year in the Viper GT3 at the Dijon round of the FFSA Championship.
Pouchelon Racing team principal Alex Pouchelon looks forward to the Spa GT3 and 24h races with excitement "The team has worked immensely hard to achieve the level of preparation necessary for such a huge weekend of racing. Today we are leaving for Spa knowing that we have the right car and teams of drivers to make an impression on this famous race. This is the team's first attempt at a 24h race and so our goa must be to finish, we are confident that these driver teams can make this a good result for us."
