Hector Lester - nr34 JMB Racing Ferrari 430 Challenge: "It was really a fun race. We ended on the front row, and I've never started from the front row before. But it was fine and I'd like to do it again. I was lying second and got nudged by Deverikos, but that's racing. I handed the car over to Allen in 32nd place, I think, and he put on slick tyres. Then he did what he usually does, and sliced through the field until we ended up where we are. I am very happy with the result."
Allan Simonsen - nr34 JMB Racing Ferrari 430 Challenge: "It was a very interesting stint; I passed four or five cars a lap so it was fun. The car set-up was absolutely perfect for these conditions. We drove without any problems, I managed to do some clean overtaking and try to do not lose time, and all was OK. This Championship is fantastic; I mean, who thought that 44 cars would be here for the first round! It is a great idea to connect those different cars and the race shows that it is a great success."
Dimitris Deverikos - nr9 Tech 9 Porsche 997 GT3 : " We are very happy; yesterday, we did not expect to be in such a position. We had a very good set-up in the wet and we have a perfect strategy. It was a very good race for us. I had a lot of speed in the corner, that is why I can easily overtake several cars. This is a great result."
Sean Edward - nr9 Tech 9 Porsche 997 GT3 : "Dimitris did a great job. Then the team made the right choice with the slicks, and I think I rejoined in 9th. I overtook a few cars, and I ended up in the lead. Then I got the call that Allan was pushing hard. I lost time in the traffic, with the slick tyres it was not easy to overtake the others if they do not help you a lot. So he passed me, but we are very pleased to start the Championship with this second place, first of the Porsche."
Aaron Scott - nr45 Damax Ascari KZ1R : "We started from pit lane, and we opted for slicks, as we thought it was our only chance to make up the disadvantage of a pit-lane start. It was really more suitable for wet tyres, but it paid off."
Ben Collins - nr45 Damax Ascari KZ1R : "First of all I had to say that the series is a fantastic success. Our car arrived two days ago, so it is a huge surprise for us to finish in such a good position, and this is a real good news for us. Damax did a great job and the potential of the car is great. It is pretty good to start from the pits and to finish on the podium, and I had a lot of fun on the car."
Andrea Ceccato - nr27 Racing Box Dodge Viper Competition Coupe : "The last lap was terrible... I give all that I have to pass Anthony Reid, the tyres were dead, both cars were undriveable. It was hot, but fun. We made 10 laps together and we had a great fight. Unfortunately the Vipers cannot change tyres during the pit stop, because we had five wheel nuts whereas the others had only one !"
Martin Rich - nr66 Barwell Motorsport Aston Martin DBRS9 : "We went very carefully because we had never tested our Aston Martin before under such conditions. But the car is great on the wet, we went without problems until the finish line, we kept our tyres warm and all was OK."
Klaus Ludwig - nr16 Team Carsport Callaway Corvette Z06 GT3 : "It is hard to finish so far away when we started from the first row, but my team mate had an engine or an electronic problem at the beginning of the race. I hope it is going to be better tomorrow. We still have a lot of work to do on the car."
Juergen von Gartzen - nr14 Reiter Engineering Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 : "It was not easy to drive our car on the wet, but it was OK, we made no mistakes. It was the first race for Marius Ritskes, my team mate, he has only had his racing licence since Thursday, so it is great to finish first of the Lamborghini car."
