Philip and Charlie Geipel will participate in the second round of the FIA European GT3 Championship in Brno (CZ)

During his first appearance at the opening event of the FIA European GT3 Championship in Silverstone (GB) the young German, Philip Geipel, has shown a stunning performance in the new Lamborghini Gallardo LP560 GT3 entered by the ARGO/ Reiter Racing Team. Pole Position in the qualifying session, 3. Place in the first race, position 4 in race two called the attention of the racing world. It was his first drive in a GT3 race car and his "show" on the new F1 race track in Silverstone was just exceptional.

This weekend the second round of the 2010 FIA European GT3 Championship in Brno (CZ) is coming up. Philip Geipel has been rewarded for his outstanding performance by ARGO/ Reiter Racing. Together with Prince Albert von Thurn und Taxis he will participate in all championship races with the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560 GT3 (No. 24). The team is hoping to gain further championship points with this strong driver line-up. ARGO/ Reiter racing currently leading the championship with 40 points, Philip Geipel scored 27 points in the first race meeting and is on second position in the drivers championship.

"We knew that Philip is a very fast driver, but his unbelievable performance in Silverstone was surprising for us as well", said the technical director of ARGO, Werner Schroeder.

To be even more powerful ARGO/ Reiter Racing nominated Charlie Geipel, the fast younger brother of Philip, who has just shown two strong races in the ADAC GT Masters at the Sachsenring. He finished 8th and 5th driving the Muehlner Porsche 997R, and impressed with his exceptional talent.

Charlie will share the cockpit of the Lamborghini LP560 GT3 (no. 25) with the Italian Lamborghini works driver Giorgio Sanna in Brno.

"I am really happy and very thankful that ARGO/Reiter Racing is giving me the chance to participate in Brno", said Charlie Geipel who has been caught napping today by the decision.

ARGO/ Reiter Racing team manager, Wolfgang Koepp is convinced that they could be the fastest "brothers" in the FIA European GT3 Championship.
