Adria 1st September 2004 - The DAMS Team stopped at Adria Raceway on route to Imola for a 1 day test with the 2 Murcielago that will be entered in the last 4 rounds of the FIA GT championship.
One of the 2 cars was brand new, only delivered 1 day before by Reiter Engineering. Today was more a shake down than a real test for this car as it obviously had never been tested before Felipe Ortiz and Beppe Gabbiani used the morning session to fix all the minor problems expected with a new car, especially the driving position. In the afternoon the 2 drivers spent much more time on the track, driving more than 300 kms without any major problems.
Jean-Denis Deletraz and Andrea Piccini worked on the set up of the cars all day after they had partly fixed a brake problem.
Eric Boullier, Managing and Technical Director : "We are satisfied with the reliability of the car. We do not have any reference regarding performance but it looks positive. We are still learning a lot about this car, Reiter did a very good job and our relation with them is excellent. All the Team is happy to run these 2 Murcielago and we are highly motivated to bring them to the top".
