BMS Scuderia Italia to represent Aston Martin Racing in FIA GT

Aston Martin Racing are pleased to announce that they have reached an agreement with BMS Scuderia Italia which will see the Italian team representing Aston Martin Racing in the FIA GT Championship from the start of next season.

Speaking on behalf of Aston Martin Racing, Team Director, David Richards said, "We are delighted to be working with such a successful team as BMS Scuderia Italia, having enjoyed an extremely fruitful relationship with them in the past."

Giuseppe Lucchini of BMS Scuderia Italia was equally enthusiastic about the new partnership - "We are very proud to be working with Aston Martin. Clearly the new DBR9 is a fabulous racing car and we look forward to much success. We will be continuing our development relationship with Pirelli as their works team."

BMS Scuderia Italia has already scored successes in 2005 in the Le Mans Endurance Series (LMES) and the GT Italia Series. The well-established team has been involved in motor racing since 1980 and claimed the Teams' FIA GT Championship title in both 2003 and 2004 enjoying 18 victories to date in the FIA GT series.
