The 2007 FIA GT drivers and teams are ready to be back in the game this weekend. After the demanding effort spent at the Spa 24 Hours, and the summer holiday break, the season is entering its final part, starting this weekend in Italy with an unprecedented 2-hour night race at Adria Raceway: the sixth round will be held on Saturday, September 8. Driving his Vitaphone Racing Maserati MC12 GT1, Christian Montanari will have a second occasion to race in front of home crowd. The driver from San Marino, partnered by regular team-mate Miguel Ramos, will be heading towards the racetrack after a charity football match with the "Nazionale Piloti", a team that involves a selection of drivers and riders, planned for Semptember 5 at Como.

"It's finally time to get back behind the wheel: after more than a month of relax, I was really starting to miss racing! I'm even happier because we'll be able to race again in Italy. Since Adria is a tiny, winding and very demanding track, we'll have a very tough time, but thanks to the night racing, temperatures will probably be cooler. The car's also really challenged there, especially brakes, due to the heavy and many decelerations. Our car will offer us great traction, but we'll have to watch out from our most fiery competitors, Aston Martin and Chevrolet. My main goal is to score a podium finish, and try to improve my standing position."
