The results of the 2005 FIA GT Championship were finalised in Monaco on Friday December 9th, when the International Court of Appeal of the FIA quashed the decision nr 9 of the Panel of the Stewards of the Meeting in Bahrain, which had excluded car nr 11 from the event.

With the nr 11 Larbre Competition Ferrari 550 Maranello of Gabriele Gardel and Pedro Lamy confirmed in fourth place in round 11, this means that Gabriele Gardel has won the 2005 title by one point, ahead of Michael Bartels and Timo Scheider of Vitaphone Racing Team, and Andrea Bertolini and Karl Wendlinger of JMB Racing.

The 2005 FIA GT Champions attended the FIA Prizegiving Gala in honour of the 2005 Champions of World Motor Sport in Monaco yesterday evening, to collect their trophies :
