Pritchard prepared for penultimate round

Builth Wells based Jason Pritchard, a former double two wheel drive British rally champion, is well aware of the importance of the forthcoming International Rally of Northern Ireland as the 22 year old heads to this, the penultimate round of the 2010 Dulux Trade MSA British Rally Championship, in fourth position in the title chase!

Pritchard and co-driver Robbie Durant have been the revelation of the 2010 season as the pair, in only their first season of four wheel drive rallying, have muscled their North Road Garage and Total Impreza Magazine supported Subaru Impreza N2010 into an impressive championship position. After strong runs on the opening three events the young pairing took their first podium of the year on the Rally Isle of Man, recognised as one of the toughest events in the calendar, and all this in a year earmarked as a learning season in the car!

For sure 2010 has been an amazing year so far and certainly beyond our expectations. The podium on the Rally Isle of Man was fantastic and, especially as it was such a tough event, it has really boosted our confidence. Both Robbie and I realise that 2010 is very much a learning year and thus we head to Ulster with the same target as before, to finish the rally and get some more seat time in the car!

The 2010 International Rally of Northern Ireland begins on Friday 20 August with six stages during the afternoon and the early evening. The action then continues with a further eight special stages on Saturday before the cars return to Antrim for a ceremonial finish at approximately 5pm.
