Roy Herron 1953 - 2003

There was an unfortunate incident involving car 89 on the 23rd March, on the Border Counties Rally. Co-driver Roy Herron died following injuries sustained in the incident, whilst his driver, Alan Doncaster, was injured and taken to Newcastle General Hospital.

Roy was new to the Peugeot Rally Club, this being his first event in the 206 Super Cup, but he was a very experienced co-driver and had started competing when he was seventeen. In addition, he was involved in motorsport as an MSA scrutineer and helped organise events with his local Coltness Car Club. His son Roger followed him into the sport, such was the family passion for motorsport.

To Roy's wife Beth and his son Roger, we at Peugeot Sport express our deepest sorrow and condolences.
