Pritchard aiming to repeat history

Builth Wells resident Jason Pritchard took his first victory of the year on the 2008 International Rally Isle of Man, en route to clinching the C2R2cup title and aims for a repeat when the talented 21 year old returns to the island for round four of the 2009 series.

After narrowly missing out on victory on the Jim Clark Rally back in May, after a last stage spin cost them time, Jason and fellow Welshman Andrew Edwards intend to go one better this weekend. The pair realise that the key to the rally, and the whole championship, will be strong precise pacenotes on this tricky event.

Last year I worked really hard on my notes for this event and it paid dividends, and it's an approach I intend to use again this year. The Isle of Man is one of the trickiest events I've ever done, but it is so rewarding when it all comes right...

Based in Douglas but utilising the many narrow closed public roads that the island has to offer the International Rally Isle of Man is recognised as one of the toughest rallies in Europe, with the fickle weather conditions playing an important part in the overall results.

Twenty stages run over two days mean that the driver, co-driver and car are tested continually, making victory on this event all the more rewarding.
