Harris & Garrod head for the Manx lanes.
Londoners Mike Harris Junior and Ben Garrod will be hoping for a change of fortunes when the pair head across the waters to contest the double points scoring Rally Isle of Man this weekend in their Rallyschool.co.uk Citroen C2.
The pair began the year in the best possible way with a dominate win on the Pirelli International Rally. However since then two first stage mechanical retirements have left them both frustrated and without anymore points on the board. This weekends events, Rounds 4 and 5 of the 'stars' category of the British Rally Championship gives the pair a realistic chance of getting their championship back on track. And with a proven track record on the Island from their days competing in the Peugeot 206 Supercup Mike and Ben are relishing the challenge.
We are both confident that the mechanic failures are out of the way now, and we are both looking forward to having a good run on the Manx roads. They are unique in the championship and offer a real challenge, but it's one that we are really looking forward too. We will be pushing hard from start to finish thats for sure, fingers crossed we will have something to celebrate at the end.
The 2007 Rally Isle of Man consists of two different point scoring rallies for the 'Stars'. The first event begins on Friday morning, and those who fail to complete Friday may restart on Saturday and still have the chance to score points on Saturdays' rally, which finishes back at the TT Grandstand in Douglas late in the afternoon.
