Revolution to sponsor David's Evolution Mitsubishi

Dolgellau resident David Meredith is looking forward to returning to the Isle of Man a year on from scoring a podium position there en route to winning the 'stars of the future' championship.

David, who is co-driven by BBC reporter Jemma Bellingham in his Mitsubishi Evo 9 heads to the Rally Isle of Man, the third round of the 2007 Tesco 99 Octane MSA British Rally Championship, with a new sponsor. Revolution Wheels come on board following some strong performances by the 27 year old on the opening two rounds.

After the Jim Clark Rally Warren from Revolution Wheels contacted me to discuss working together for the rest of the year. I was already using his rims and was well impressed with them so the answer was an easy one!

Despite David and Jemma sliding into a ditch during the Jim Clark Rally in May their pace in what is a relatively standard Mitsubishi Evo 9 was pleasantly surprising, with the pair setting times that were well within the top 10 in class on both of the opening rounds. And with an upgraded gearbox now fitted to the Evo David is relishing his return to the tough and tricky lanes of the island.

The 3 day marathon begins with 4 stages on Thursday 19th July before two full days of action, and ends with a ceremonial finish at the TT Grandstands in Douglas on Saturday afternoon.
