QUOTES

Dave Scott Owner/Driver Bud Light Offshore Team

"It just goes to show you, give us a little rough water and that's the key. In this kind of race, the boat has to do some of the work and the motors don't have to do it all. If you give us 2- to 3-foot seas, we've got an even playing field."

"We're really happy. The guys did a great job, from setting up the boat to running the race. We couldn't be happier."

Johnny Tomlinson Throttleman Bud Light Offshore Team

"It was a great race. We got to the crane early, so we changed the gears and the props. That was definitely the right call."

"We had a really good start. We got exactly where we wanted to be on the outside up against the beach. That way we didn't have to worry about getting pinched off at the start. We had a good line and it really went picture perfect. We got a lead on them the first few laps then just held our distance. It was good to get some bumps again and do a little bit of work out there. We also had a little bit of distance, so we got to really race. Everything held together and the boat ran well. We were just trying not to run it too hard, so we could save some for Key West."

Mike Seebold Driver Bud Light Offshore Team

"We had a really good line going into the first turn. They pulled out the yellow flag just in time. We kept a good line the whole race and just ran down the beach. We had some pretty good size swells on the way there, and that's when this boat really runs well, when it starts getting bumpy."

"Going into the seas, it was even rougher. We were pushing the first few laps and then we pulled the other boats a little bit. Once we got ahead, we held our base for the rest of the race. That bumpy water was just what we needed."

"Johnny and I really got to shine together in this race. This seemed like the most time we've had in the boat together all year. It was a really good time running the whole race and getting in a lot of miles. The boat ran great, and the team did a great job."
