Joe Little, president of Bernie Little Distributors and vice president of Hydroplanes, Inc., assumed the owner responsibilities of the famous U-1 Miss Budweiser team when his father, Bernie Little, passed away on April 25, 2003. His role is to provide strategic direction and support to the Miss Budweiser Team.

Joe Little continues the legacy started by his father and enters the 2003 Budweiser Unlimited Hydroplane Series with a team that has an untouchable record of 354 races entered with 134 race victories, 22 World Championships and 14 APBA Gold Cups.

Little has been president of Bernie Little Distributors since 1997 after working his way up through the organization over 20 years to assume the helm. He began working with his father, Bernie Little, in 1977, repacking cans and bottles in the warehouse. He worked his way up through the organization and held a variety of roles of greater responsibility, including warehouse manager; route sales, director of marketing and general manager.

"I graduated high school in 1975 and went on to play offensive tackle at the University of Georgia for a year before deciding to come home and work," Little said. "I should have stayed at college because the first day home my dad grabbed me and said I was going to work. He instilled in me a strong work ethic and his coaching has helped me throughout life."

Little, the youngest of Bernie and Jane Little's kids, grew up in Tampa, Fla., until the age of 15 when the family moved to Lakeland, Fla. He currently resides in Lakeland with his wife, Beth, and the couple's two children, Jessica and Joseph.
