CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Traveling Freak Show Racing will be bringing their unique style and competitive edge to the WERA National Challenge Series for the 2002 season, beginning with the first round at No Problem Raceway Park in Belle Rose, La., April 6-7.
After competing successfully in WERA's Southeast Region Sportsman Series, Traveling Freak Show (TFS) Racing has decided to move into the National Series. Team riders Tom Fetsko and Beth Wyse will both be competing in the 600cc Superstock and 600cc Superbike novice classes.
Fetsko has already earned a top-five finish four times and two top-ten finishes in this season's first two Southeast Region rounds. He expects to continue his success on board his #122 Suzuki GSX-R600.
"After using the first two regional rounds to properly tune and come to grips with my new Suzuki, I'm looking forward to making a serious run at a national championship," explained Fetsko.
Riding the #422 Honda CBR600F4, Wyse is a newcomer to motorcycle roadracing with only three race weekends under her belt. "I expect to learn a lot and to progress rapidly throughout the season," said Wyse. "Riding with the top racers in the National Series will help me to develop my own skills."
Both members of TFS Racing will be riding in the WERA National Endurance Series, as well. Fetsko will be returning to Sagrada Familia as the team moves up to the Mediumweight Superbike class on their Suzuki GSX-R600. Wyse will make her endurance debut with the Sirens, an all-female team competing in the Lightweight Superbike class on a Suzuki SV650.
TFS Racing is named for the team's elaborate and funky pit setup, which often includes chili pepper lights, inflatable furniture, tiki torches and even a disco ball. TFS Racing is certainly one of the easiest teams to find in the crowded WERA paddock.
More information about TFS Racing can be found on their website, www.TFSRaceTeam.com. Results, pictures and diary entries from Fetsko and Wyse are posted on the site following each round.
