Mancuso Crashes Top Fuel Harley In Brisbane, Emerges Bruised But Unhurt

BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA - Sometimes the rough and tumble world of Top Fuel Harley can live up to its reputation. One of the class' most noted riders found that out the hard way. Former IHRA and ADBA titlist John Mancuso went down on a qualifying run during the latest stop of the Easyriders Top Fuel Harley World Series at Willowbank Raceway in Brisbane, Australia.

Mancuso was a little shaken up after the experience, but was quickly plotting the repair of his bike to participate in the remainder of the series.

"You never want this kind of thing to happen, but the painful part of it all is that it does. We will try and rebuild the damaged bike and come back and win some rounds."

The mishap occurred in the shutdown area of Willowbank. Mancuso and the bike became separated. Reportedly the bike went into the sand and struck the tire barrier. The rider was deposited into the grass, where he walked away.
