Adams sweeps the second stop of the Vans Triple Crown of Freestyle Motocross

NEW ORLEANS, La. (October 11, 2003) - The Mountain Dew National Championship of Freestyle Motocross Presented by Vans and Xbox came to a close with Nate Adams sitting in the Mountain Dew Hot Seat taking both victories at the New Orleans Arena.

Adams, the number one qualifier both Friday and Saturday night, edged out Bartram to even the overall Vans Triple Crown points standings with two wins apiece. Bartram and Adams, with 194 points each are tied leading into the final stop of the Vans Triple Crown in Richmond, Va., November 7-8.

Back flips seemed to be falling out of the ceiling, Beau Bamburg and Andy Jones successfully landed the back flip of the 45 foot "super-kicker" while Adams and Bartram executed the flip on the 75 foot IFMA ramp. Adams completed the heel-clicker back flip combo and Bartram landed the no-footer back flip with a no-handed lander.

"Everyone is riding so good right now, I know I have to go home and practice because Kenny is going to come out with some new stuff in Richmond," Nate Adams said after winning Saturday night.
