Adams to headline Aussie speedway title -- again!

World number four Leigh Adams will be out to make it eight Australian speedway championships when the 2005 instalment kicks off at the Gosford Showground (NSW) on December 29.

Adams, from Mildura (Vic), is again the headline attraction in the 2005 title, which will include seven of last year's top 10, including Travis McGowan, Danish expatriate John Jorgensen, dual Australian under 21 champion Rory Schlien, Steve Johnston, Mark Lemon and Kevin Doolan.

The full 16-rider field, which will include another two international riders, Dane Charlie Gjedde and Englishman Adam Allott, is:

The reserves for the four-round championship are Chris Ferguson and Nathan Hedley.

Following round one in Gosford, the championship will then visit Newcastle (January 1) and Gillman (January 5), before concluding in Mildura on January 8.
