Volkswagen Scirocco R-Cup
Aditya Patel and Arne Larisch win thrilling Nurburgring double header

With two captivating races the Volkswagen Scirocco R-Cup thrilled the crowd that had gathered at the Nurburgring for the fourth race weekend of the season. Saturday's round of the series which, thanks to bio natural gas power is the world's most eco-conscious one-make cup was won for the first time by an Indian, Aditya Patel. As the runner-up, Maciek Steinhof (Poland) defended his lead of the standings. Nordschleife legend Olaf Manthey (Germany) completed Saturday's podium with a third-place finish. The race Sunday of the DTM partner series went to junior Arne Larisch (Germany) for the first time this season, in front of Jann-Hendrik Ubben (Germany) and the Pole Adam Gładysz.

Formula 3 Euro Series
Volkswagen unbeaten at the Nurburgring, Mortara extends lead

Seven races, seven victories - this is Volkswagen's Formula 3 track record this weekend. All rounds of the Formula 3 Euro Series, the ATS Formula 3 Cup and the British Formula 3 Championship were won by drivers "powered by Volkswagen". The race wins in the Formula 3 Euro Series at the Nurburgring were celebrated by Edoardo Mortara (Italy) and Antonio Felix da Costa, who was the first Portuguese to have decided a race in the ultra-competitive junior series in his favour. For Mortara it was the fourth victory this season out of five possible race wins on a Saturday - the Signature driver, who was born in Geneva, thus extended his overall lead and made another step towards the title.

ATS Formula 3 Cup
Tom Dillmann defends lead of the standings

The weekend at Assen (the Netherlands) was successful for Volkswagen as well: the Frenchman Tom Dillmann has maintained his lead of the overall standings by clinching fourth and fifth place ahead of four other drivers with Volkswagen Power. The race wins "powered by Volkswagen" went to Stef Dusseldorp (the Netherlands) and Felix Rosenqvist (Sweden). The two pole positions and the two fastest race laps were achieved by drivers with engines from Wolfsburg as well.

British Formula 3 Championship
Two victories by Jean-Eric Vergne, one by James Calado at Thruxton

Jean-Eric Vergne continues heading towards the drivers title in the British Formula 3 Championship: the Frenchman won the second and third races of the series at Thruxton and now has 299 points to his credit - 104 more than his closest rival. The third victory on the tradition-steeped track west of London was celebrated by James Calado. For Volkswagen these wins marked the 13th, 14th and 15th victories this season - now amounting to 24 in total since the brand's return as an engine supplier in 2009.
