Singapore -- GAC has extended its sponsorship of London-based racing driver Viktor Jensen for another year.

The relationship, which began in 2006 when Jensen was just 16, has seen the Icelandic driver become the youngest ever race winner in the Formula Palmer Audi Championship, finishing the season as runner-up having clinched 6 wins, 11 podium positions and a record 8 pole positions. In 2007, Jensen progressed to the British Formula 3 Championship where the newcomer notched up another win and 5 podium places. This year, Jensen has moved up a notch and is racing with a new international team, Nexa Racing, headed by former Formula 1 engineer Andy Kidby.

"I'm thrilled to be driving for Nexa with GAC's backing, and I'm aiming for race wins," says Jensen.

At Croft racetrack in northern England last Sunday, Jensen's first outing in his new car, he put in two impressive performances gaining nine places in the first race and eleven in the second, positioning him nicely on course to achieve his aim.

Increased brand visibility

"Our continued support of Viktor Jensen will enable us to further increase our brand visibility globally," explains William Hill, Group Vice President, GAC Logistics. "Branding through sports sponsorship is increasingly recognised as a powerful marketing tool for global businesses."
