Double Win for Carroll Keeps Championship Hopes Alive

Sutton Motorsport Images supported Adam Carroll stormed to victory in both this weekend's British Formula Three Championship races at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, putting himself firmly back in the championship title race with just two rounds remaining.

P1 Motorsports Adam Carroll put in arguably the best drives of his career to defeat pole sitter and championship leader Nelson Piquet and early race leader Clivio Piccione in the first race to take the win and fastest lap.

The second race saw another faultless performance as Adam resisted pressure from Clivio Piccione to take his fifth win of the season at the legendary Belgian circuit.

Adam Carroll:

"I'm made up for the team this weekend, as everyone has been working so hard and the two wins reflect that. It was absolutely vital that we came away from Spa with this sort of result and although that fact brought with it more pressure, that's what racing's all about. It really is all to play for now at Brands. I can't wait!"

The double success for Carroll ensures the championship goes to the wire as they head to Brands Hatch in three weeks time. With Carroll just 26 points behind Championship leader Nelson Piquet, the young Northern Irishman has a fighting chance for the title with 42 points up for grabs in the final two races.

Rounds 23 and 24 of the British Formula Three Championship are at Brands Hatch on October 2 and 3.
