Ralt plans For British Grand Prix support race.
The British Grand Prix Formula 3 support race is the next scheduled outing for the Ralt F3 car. The company is planning to field an all British two car entry at the Silverstone meeting.
It is likely Ralt will do a deal with an existing team to transport the cars to the circuit, while its personnel will be on hand at the event to engineer the cars. Ralt has continued with a test and development programme since the F302 last raced, and the next step will be a new six-speed sequential gearbox, which should run in the next couple of weeks.
Andy Priaulx, who is currently competing in the BTCC, has been the team's test driver and is due to be one of the drivers at Silverstone. It is expected a deal will be done in the very near future with a second British driver.
The 7th July meeting sees the marque's return to the event after an absence of ten years, with Warren Hughes' Ralt winning the race in 1992.
