DIFFICULT START FOR T-SPORT

Brackley, UK -- 14 April 2009: T-Sport's 2009 British F3 season didn't get off to the most auspicious of starts during the Easter weekend at Oulton Park. Adriano Buzaid's F3 debut saw the Brazilian finish sixth and seventh in the two races. Wayne Boyd, after taking seventh in race one, crashed out at the start of race two, taking T-Sport's National Class runner, Gabriel Dias, with him. Dias, also making his F3 debut finished race one in second place in the National Class and was on pole for race two.

Both Buzaid and Boyd struggled in the two qualifying sessions but made big improvements during race one where their pace was good. In race two, Buzaid put in the fourth fastest lap of the race on his way from 11th to seventh.

Gabriel Dias has been tasked with bringing the National Class title back to T-Sport this year and P2 in race one went a long way towards that goal. He was on pole for race two but an accident with Boyd put both drivers out of contention.

"This is definitely not how I expected the first race weekend to go," said T-Sport Team Principal, Russell Eacott. "The pace wasn't there in qualifying but we made big improvements before each race. Obviously it's not the best way to start the season but we'll write that one off and look forward to the next event, wherever that may be!"

The next two rounds of the British F3 International Series are scheduled for Donington Park on 26 April.
