Álvaro Parente seeks to maintain the wave of good results at Oulton Park
The young Álvaro Parente, member of the Team Portugal and supported by the Fundação Luís Figo, seeks to maintain the succession of positive results at the Oulton Park track this coming weekend (17/18 July). The Portuguese driver, competing in the British F3 Championship, has greatly recovered in the championship standings, currently posting in the 8th position only a mere 19 points from 5th place.
"During the pre season tests at Oulton Park, I was always among the top three. The car was in excellent condition and performed perfectly under cold temperatures. Obviously, now, that it's hotter the situation is altogether different. Last week we tested at Snetterton, in view of perfecting the set up under hotter conditions and I believe we got some very interesting conclusions out of the tests and I feel quite confidante for the races at Oulton Park.", confessed Parente.
The Fundação Luís Figo driver firmly believes he can lead his Dallara Mugen-Honda of the Carlin Motorsport to the rostrum at the Oulton Park races next Sunday.
"Oulton Park is quite tough. Besides being a very technical track with 3 very fast corners, a second gear hairpin and two chicanes, I am very much amused by the layout. It hardly has any overcoming space, so it is important to start from ahead. Making the Pole position is half way to the victory and that is one of my goals." ended by saying Álvaro Parente.
