Denmark's Jesper Carlsen who was forced to miss the latest rounds of the 2002 Avon Tyres British Formula Three Championship, when his latest sponsorship deal could not be concluded in time to allow him to compete.

But now Jesper Carlsen have got another chance. An agreement between the Carlens management Team Brask and Team SYR, means that Jesper Carlsen will fill out the vacant seat in the team which became available when Fauriz Fauzy left for the Promatecme F3-squad. The Team owner is Soong Yap, who purchased the equipment from Bertram Schaffer's German F3 championship team as run last season.

For Jesper, who has not been in a seat this season, this is a big chance to get back into top racing.

"This is a great opportunity. The deal is that I drive the car at this round. I hope that it will be possible to drive the remainder of the season with Team SYR. But lets wait and see what happens. Right now my focus is at the race at Oulton Park, where I hope to drive a competetive race," Jesper Carlsen says.
