PEREZ DOMINATES WHILST GONZALEZ TAKES A TUMBLE

T-Sport's National Class driver, Sergio Perez, took the perfect haul of results away from Monza today: two pole positions, two fastest laps and two victories. Rodolfo Gonzalez had a tough weekend, culminating in a terrifying tumble through the gravel during race two.

Sergio's perfect weekend began on Saturday when he took pole for the first race and ended with a fantastic victory that saw the Mexican dicing with the A class drivers.

"Sergio did a brilliant job this weekend," said Team Principal Russell Eacott. "I'm really pleased with him; he did everything right and it was good to see him take seventh place overall with his second win. He gets stronger by the race so we'll continue to build on that."

Rodolfo struggled at the start of race one with clutch trouble so he needed to have a good race this afternoon. Race two was arguably the most dramatic race of the weekend with cars going off all over the place. Rodolfo kept his nose clean during the push and shove of the opening laps but, seven laps in, he was hit by (Stephen) Jelley which sent him tumbling into the gravel. Luckily he emerged unscathed but leaves Monza tonight with no points.

"It could have been a lot better for Rodolfo," commented Russell. "Race one was a bit of a write-off but he had the pace of the leaders in the second race and was on for a good result. It's incredibly frustrating, and very expensive too! All in all, a great weekend for Sergio but one to forget for Rodolfo."

The next British F3 races for T-Sport are at Brands Hatch in three weeks' time.
