RYAN LEWIS RACING IN MONZA TRIPLE-HEADER THIS WEEKEND

Twenty one year-old British driver, Ryan Lewis, will be in Italy this weekend for the next three rounds of the British F3 International Series at Monza. The Milan-located track is loved by everyone who races there and is the home of the Italian Grand Prix. The circuit's fast, sweeping curves and long straights, combined with quick chicanes, are an unrelenting test of speed and skill, demanding everything from the cars and the drivers.

It will be a hectic weekend for the F3 teams as they have three races to run; two races as normal plus Round Three, carried over from the foggy Spa meeting in April. Grid positions have already been decided for that race by the qualifying session at Spa so Lewis will start from eighth on the grid. The other two races will have their qualifying sessions on Saturday morning and the T-Sport driver will be gunning for his more familiar position nearer the front of the grid.

Lewis currently lies sixth in the Series but the scores are tight at the top so a couple of good results at Monza will quickly boost his Championship position.

"Monza is a fantastic track," commented Lewis. "I've raced there a couple of times and won a Formula Palmer Audi race there. The first corner can be tricky as it is a very slow chicane but the rest of the track is great, especially Ascari. It's good and wide, being an F1 track, and there are plenty of opportunities for overtaking. The car works well in low downforce trim so there's no reason not to expect a good result or three this weekend!"
