T-SPORT'S NATIONAL CLASS DOMINATION CONTINUES TO THE END

T-Sport rounded off another successful year in the British F3 International Series today with a dominant double 1-2 in the National Class results for Sergio Perez and Salman Al Khalifa. Sergio took his 14th victory of the season in race two, equalling the record set by last year's National Class Champion, Rodolfo Gonzalez.

After a fantastic showing in qualifying on Saturday, which saw him take fifth position for race one and his first front row spot for race two, Rodolfo had a tough day today with the highlight being fourth place in race one. The Venezuelan got a great start in this morning's race, taking third place straight away with an inspired move at turn one. Sebastian Hohenthal managed to find a way by though half way through the race and Rodolfo had to be content with fourth. Race two was to be a race to forget for Rodolfo. He made another good start and led the first few laps. Unfortunately his start was deemed to be rather too good and he received a drive-through penalty for his efforts. This was really the beginning of the end of Rodolfo's race and he dropped all the way down to 11th position by the end.

In contrast, Sergio Perez had another perfect run of results, taking pole position, fastest race lap and victory in both of today's races. The young Mexican has had a fantastic year of racing with T-Sport and wanted to end the season on a high. He didn't disappoint and the only shadow on his performance this weekend was a dropped start in race one which turned out to be a clutch issue, duly solved for race two. Sergio soon picked his lead back up when Hamad Al Fardan braked very early and Sergio sailed through...closely followed by Salman Al Khalifa! The two T-Sport National Class drivers then ran in formation all the way to the chequered flag.

In race two both Sergio and Salman got great starts; Salman starting from second, his best qualifying position of the year. They again ran in formation until the chequered flag came down on another great year of racing for T-Sport.

"What a year it has been for Sergio!" said Team Principal, Russell Eacott. "I'm delighted he has equalled Rodolfo's win record and I couldn't be happier for him, he has achieved everything we hoped he would. It's good to see Salman start to show the potential we have always seen in him. Since he joined us in July he has moved from eighth to fifth in the National Class standings so that is a top result for him. Rodolfo has had an interesting year. He has shown flashes of brilliance and proved that he can race well and qualify well. He just needs to put it all together consistently as little mistakes in the A Class are punished heavily. All in all we've had another rollercoaster ride of a season and, let's be frank, we wouldn't have it any other way!
