Kerr on verge of historic win.

Hopes of a British winner in the British F3 championship took a leap forward today at Brands Hatch.

Hinckley’s Robbie Kerr led the qualifying for tommorrow’s first round for much of the, eventually just slipping to second.

Kerr was the first pilot to take his car under the 89 second barrier with a time of 1m18.859 which was enough to put Britains best hope of winning the championship on the front row of the grid just 0.133s behind fellow pre-season favourite James Courtney.

A win in Sundays 1st round of the season would see Robbie make history by being the first reigning Scholarship Class champion to win a race outright.

The race will take the green flag on the super quick Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit at 15:45 on Sunday as part of the Octagon Superweekender
