Lotterer, Fassler to race in Spa 24 Hours

Andre Lotterer will race alongside his WEC Audi teammate Marcel Fassler in the Spa 24 Hours next month.

The pair will join 2013 DTM champion and fellow Le Mans winner Mike Rockenfeller in one of the new generation Audi R8 LMS cars for the classic endure, which is also a round of the Blancpain Endurance Championship.

A second Audi has also been entered for Christopher Mies, Christian Mammerow and Aston Martin WEC racer Nicki Thiim.

Further big names confirmed

The BMW Marc VDS team, which is based close to Spa, has called upon works BMW DTM drivers Maxime Martin and Augusto Farfus Jnr for the race on July 25/26.

The Roberto Ravaglia-owned and managed ROAL BMW team has officially confirmed Alessandro Zanardi, Bruno Spengler and Timo Glock in a specially adapted BMW Z4.

The multiple WEC title-winning AF Corse Ferrari outfit has entered a Ferrari 458 Italia in the Pro-Am class and will include Gianmaria Bruni and Alessandro Pierguidi in the cockpit.

Australian Supercar star Craig Lowndes again returns to Spa with the Lago Racing team run Lamborghini Gallardo. He is joined by fellow V8 racers, Steve Owen and David Russell.

A total of 66 entries have been received for the jewel in the GT3 racing calendar event.
