The first round of the 2001 Barber Dodge Pro Series will air today, April 10 at 5:30 p.m. EDT. on ESPN 2. Brazilian Alex Sperafico took a thrilling first victory on the classic 3.4-mile Sebring International Raceway course. The race was rife with passing, particularly among the leading trio.

Keep an eye peeled for Sperafico and Nicolas Rondet's mid-race waltz that featured an eye-popping pass-repass-pass for the lead of the race. Rondet would also be the victim of a textbook move by Ryan Hunter-Reay, in spite of Rondet's persistent efforts to keep the 2000 Barber-CART Rookie of the year at bay.

Should you be unable to catch tonight's broadcast, you'll get two further opportunities to catch the Barber Dodge Pro Series, the Official Professional Entry Level Race Series of CART, on ESPN 2 on April 12 at 3:00 on the East coast, midnight in the West and again on April 14, at 4:30 a.m. EDT. All 12 rounds of the 2001 Barber Dodge Pro Series will air on ESPN 2, the fastest growing cable network in America, now reaching 81 million homes. Please be sure to check your local listings for the correct time and date in your area.

Round 2 of the Barber Dodge Pro Series will take place in the Valley of the Sun, Phoenix, Az. as part of the Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series Sun Automotive 200 at Phoenix International Raceway on April 21. That race will air on ESPN 2 for the first time on May 3 at 6:00p.m. EDT.
