Antoine Bessette on the podium at Mid Ohio

Starting in sixth position, under the rain, Antoine Bessette (Elan International) overtook two opponents with audacious moves and profited from another opponent's spin to finally finish in third place. For many laps, very fast, Antoine tried many times to overtake Dan Di Leo who resisted the pression and finished second. Leonardo Maia won the race right in front of the two others.

This was Antoine's first podium in this very competitive serie, gathering together skilful young drivers aspiring ultimatly at a Champ car seat.

This podium follows Antoine's fourth place at the Toronto Molson Indy.

The young driver from St-Bruno, Quebec, who has only a sixteen month experience in car racing without doing any karting before, continues his very surprising progression.

"I like it when it is raining. I have run three or four rallyes one year ago and I had great fun. This winter, I would like very much to do ice racing. About the race... I was feeling very well in control of the car. I think I could have been even faster but Dan Di Leo is very experienced and has resisted to the pression I put on him. The duration of the race was shortened, I wish I had more time... just to see."
